These are easy to make and even easier to nibble on! I like to serve them on h a cheese tray with crackers and crudités plus olives and pickles. Always a hit at the retreat!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp tamari (gf) or gf soy sauce
  • 4 tsp. dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp coconut oil, melted
  • 2 cups unsalted almonds
  • 2 cups unsalted cashews
  • 2 tsp wasabi powder, divided
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Prepare

  • Combine the first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Stir in 1/2 teaspoon wasabi powder.
  • Add nuts; toss well to coat.
  • Spread in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking pan.
  • Bake at 250° for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from the oven; immediately sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon wasabi over hot nuts.
  • Let stand for 2 hours to cool and dry.

Enjoy!
