These are easy to make and even easier to nibble on! I like to serve them on h a cheese tray with crackers and crudités plus olives and pickles. Always a hit at the retreat!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp tamari (gf) or gf soy sauce
- 4 tsp. dark brown sugar
- 2 tsp coconut oil, melted
- 2 cups unsalted almonds
- 2 cups unsalted cashews
- 2 tsp wasabi powder, divided
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Prepare
- Combine the first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Stir in 1/2 teaspoon wasabi powder.
- Add nuts; toss well to coat.
- Spread in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking pan.
- Bake at 250° for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the oven; immediately sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon wasabi over hot nuts.
- Let stand for 2 hours to cool and dry.
