Pines were so beautiful as i drove through them to the retreat. Nestled in the trees were cute cabins. There was wine, yummy food, hikes and restorative yoga. Some got massages others visited the cute town of Mineola. The staff was great and the experience is one I can’t wait to do again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my Detox and Yoga Retreat. The weekend exceeded my expectations. The setting is beautiful in an area surrounded by pine trees. The facilities are clean, comfortable and attractively decorated. The food was plentiful and delicious. Theresa's years of experience makes her an excellent teacher & facilitator. They offered suggestions for modifying poses and provided context regarding the benefits of practice, meditation and mindfulness. It was a relaxing, well-paced weekend. The workshop sessions were educational and thought provoking. The materials (directions, schedule and menu) provided in advance of the weekend were thorough. Thank you for this offering to women. I highly recommend it to anyone considering attending a retreat.
My retreat last weekend was so beautiful that words will not do justice, but in a nutshell: I ate incredible food, had my butt kicked in the best way by an amazing yoga teacher, turned strangers into family in less than 48 hours, laughed until tears streamed from both of my eyes, got way out of my comfort zone, found common ground with women of all kinds that were so different yet so similar to me, spoke of gratitude while ugly crying, drank wine, rebalanced, had happy birthday sung to me more than once, spent time reading in a hammock, meditated, hugged, GREW- and it was all thanks to the Universe and Retreat in the Pines ❤️ What a truly wonderful experience!
Incredible experience in a relaxing and supportive atmosphere. Lisa Reynolds was an excellent facilitator and camp mom. She was always present and cheerful, the chef was delightful and created the most delicious meals. My massage was amazing. Great Retreat! Highly Recommend!!
I just returned home from an amazing weekend at Retreat in the Pines. Everyone was amazing. I was the only solo traveler, but that didn’t matter because everyone was so warm and welcoming and we all had a common purpose. I spent the weekend with some amazing fellow retreaters!
The food was fantastic! The setting was beyond beautiful! Laura Beth was great and had such positive energy! And of course the yoga and meditation were perfect!
I planned this retreat so I could get away and focus on taking care of myself for a few days. I was able to do that, but got even more than that out of the retreat. It was so nice spending time with other women in a beautiful and relaxed setting.
I highly recommend Retreat in the Pines so much so I’ve only been home an hour and I am already rounding up a group of friends for a retreat in the fall!
From the moment I arrived at the wooden cabin at the end of the pine needle-strewn country road I could feel the stress of the job, the city, the traffic and the noise beginning to melt out of me. After the first evening’s candlelight yoga class with its emphasis on stretching and relaxation, I knew I’d found a refuge and a place to renew my mind, body and spirit. Two days of yoga, hiking in the woods, fabulous food and wine, meditation and new friends left me refreshed, content and at peace. Thanks so much, Theresa, for creating and sharing this wonderful place and may God bless it and all who pass through it as He did me during my stay.
