Chef Angel makes the best pickles! I don't even like pickles, but these are delicious! My one year old granddaughter Daisy loves pickles, go figure, I can't wait to make these for her!
Ingredients
- 1 English (or regular) cucumber, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, halved
- 1-2 sprigs of fresh basil
- 2 tsp peppercorns
- 1.5 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1.5 cup water
- 2 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
Directions
- Add sliced cucumbers, garlic, herbs, and peppercorns to a glass jar.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the water, vinegar, sugar, and salt and stir until the sugar and salt dissolve about 1 minute.
- Let cool slightly and pour over the cucumbers.
- Set aside to cool to room temperature, then store the pickles in the fridge.
