February 17, 2026 marked the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse. It’s a year marked by movement, momentum, intuition and opportunities. Moving intentionally while listening to your intuition is the ideal way to move into the Year of the Horse. Based on the Chinese Zodiac, this is your time to open yourself up to transformation.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new. ~Socrates
Year of the Snake, which ended on February 16, 2026, was a year marked by shedding and releasing. For me personally, it was particularly challenging. I know I’m not the only one who had that experience.
Your Path Forward
- Declutter: Physically, digitally and mentally; release the thoughts, belongings or files that represent stagnant energy or the past. Focus is on where you’re going, not where you’ve been.
- Set Intentions: Choose 3–5 tangible goals for the year, can be applicable to any part of your life, but focus on bringing new energy into your life versus staying with the status quo.
- Create a Safe and Stable Environment: The Fire Horse energy can be chaotic and fast. Make your home your sanctuary and safe space. Use colors, art and decor that keep you feeling grounded.
- Social & Community: The year encourages independence, courage, and action. Take steps to initiate new projects, but remember to stay patient and collaborate with others to avoid burnout.
- Meditation & Reflection: Before making any major decisions, spend time in journaling. Contemplate what your future self needs from this year of change. Reflect on where you’ve been to plan where you want to go. Imagine yourself in five years. What does that look like?
- Pause and Feel: Tune into your intuition. Listen to what your body is telling you. Is there a sense of anxiety or dread? That’s your body telling you to pause before taking a leap.
As with anything else, take what you need and leave what you don't.
May the Year of the Horse bring into your path, the experiences, people and opportunities meant for you. May you find the clarity and discernment to know when and how to act.
