What about the Yoga?

  • Yoga is for all levels, including beginners and advanced students
    • Beginning students will have the choice to stay in the basic pose, while advanced students may take the pose to a more challenging level
  • Check the specific retreat schedule for amount and frequency of yoga
  • Our Strength & Healing Yoga Retreats have the most yoga practices
  • Our Mindfulness & Meditation Retreats have the fewest yoga practices

What are the accommodations like?

  • Shared room with 2-3 other women
  • Shared bathrooms
  • Wireless internet available in the main cabin
  • Guest cabin available at no extra charge for groups of 6 or more guests

We believe sharing builds our community, therefore the rooms and bathrooms are designed to be shared. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends! If you only have two in your party you may share accommodations with another party of two. If you are attending with a group of six or more, please inquire about reserving the guest house.

What about injuries or food allergies?

Injuries: If you have specific injuries or health conditions that may interfere with your yoga practice, please indicate on registration form.

You are encouraged to practice at your level and honor your body. Retreat in the Pines is not liable for any injuries.

Food Allergies: Each weekend menu is available buffet style, you may choose what best suits your lifestyle. Indicate any food allergies on your registration form.

We appreciate your understanding when there are fewer options to choose from when personal restrictions are involved. We are able to offer vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options. Please let us know if you’d like any of those options by e-mailing.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you must cancel at any time, your $150 deposit is forfeited, it is non-refundable. If you wish to transfer to another retreat (permissible one month or more before your retreat date), there is a $25 transfer fee. There is no refund after the final payment is paid. Final payment is due three weeks before retreat. There are no refund of fees for late arrival or early departure.

Retreat in the Pines reserves the right to cancel any retreat, due to inclement weather or any other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, in which case your entire payment will be refunded or transferred to another retreat.

Where are you located and what is the best way to get there?

Retreat in the Pines is located in Mineola, Texas.

If you are driving: The drive to the retreat center is approximately two hours from Dallas Fort Worth, four hours from Houston and Austin, and five hours from San Antonio.
Carpooling is encouraged, if you’d like to carpool with someone from your area, please notify us at least two weeks prior to your retreat and we will connect those wishing to carpool.

If you are flying: The closest international airports are Dallas Love Field (DAL) (90 miles) and Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) (105 miles). The closest regional airports are Tyler Pounds (TYR) (30 miles), East Texas (GGG) (59 miles), and Shreveport (SHV) (109 miles).

If you are taking the train: There is an Amtrak train station in Downtown Mineola (please inquire for pickup pricing and availability). If you fly into Dallas Love Field you can take a taxi or Uber to Union Station in downtown Dallas and board the train to Mineola. This is a very relaxing trip, please check the Amtrak schedule before making your flight arrangements.

You will receive driving directions to the retreat center after final payment is made.

Is the retreat all about wine?

Absolutely not. Wine is complimentary before and with dinner. We also have alternative non-alcoholic beverages available, if you’d rather not drink wine.

What is the Minimum Age?

You must be 21 years of age or older to attend a women’s retreat at Retreat in the Pines.

How do I find out more about one of your retreats?

How do I register for a retreat?

Visit Register for a Retreat to complete the registration form (choose from available dates) and pay the $150 deposit PayPal will open after your registration form has been submitted. You may pay with your credit/debit card or PayPal account. We recommend registering as early as possible as most of our retreats sell out.

What about pets?

Unfortunately, due to liability issues we are not able to have guests bring their pets. We can offer you time with our Retreat Mascot, Zoe, who will make you feel right at home, if you’re a dog or cat lover.

What if I leave personal belongings at the Retreat?

Please e-mail kaycee@retreatinthepines.com. Kaycee will let you know if she finds your item and will send you an invoice for the shipping and handling costs. Lost items are returned on the 1st of the month following your retreat.
